Stephanie Ng

Stephanie was born and raised in Hong Kong and relocated to the United Kingdom in 2022.

She began practicing yoga in 2006, seeking relief from the chronic pain accumulated during her previous career as a journalist—a role filled with eye-opening experiences but also daily stress. Her passion for the practice naturally led her to transition to teaching in 2010. Before leaving her beloved hometown, Stephanie balanced life as a full-time yoga instructor and a freelance writer.

In 2019, she completed all four modules of the Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam Teacher Training (432 hours) at Pure Yoga Hong Kong under the guidance of Dario Calvaruso. Since then, she has dedicated herself to teaching the Navakaraṇa way. To Stephanie, practicing and teaching Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa is the pure joy of presence; every breath and movement synchronize rhythmically, refining her capacity to stay centered both on the mat and in daily life.

In April 2023, she returned to Asia to graduate from the inaugural Sākalya Tantra Teacher Training at Navakaraṇa Kyorei in Yakushima, Japan. This holistic approach broadened her horizons for self-transformation and equipped her to share yoga with everyone—including her 85-year-old father, who has benefited greatly from these slow, mindful movements.

Stephanie is deeply grateful to learn from Dario, whose constant refinement of the Navakaraṇa system makes it a practice worth a lifetime of commitment. Having restarted her teaching journey in the UK in the summer of 2022, she now introduces the Navakaraṇa methodology to new practitioners, one step at a time.
