Andrea began practicing rhythmic gymnastics at a very young age, developing an innocent yet special connection with body control and movement.
She has always felt deeply curious about dance and yoga, seeking opportunities to explore new methods and teachers—though for a long time, no discipline truly captivated her.
A professional cellist, Andrea was living in Germany when she was offered Vinyasa yoga classes within the orchestra where she worked. This opportunity allowed her to reconnect with her body and awakened in her the need to find a more personal space for connection.
In 2020, during the pandemic, she began practicing more regularly and met Alessandra Oram, who would later become her teacher. Alessandra taught Navakaraṇa, a method Andrea had never heard of before. The steady rhythm of the practice, its physical intensity, the precise search for alignment and beauty in movement, the deep body awareness, and the mental focus that this method cultivates—all of this made her want to study and understand it more deeply.
In 2021, she completed her first Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam Alumnus Teacher Training with Alessandra Oram, finishing the first 108-hour module. Initially, Andrea had no intention of becoming a teacher, but the joy of sharing what she was discovering—both physically and mentally—led her, quite naturally and genuinely, to change her mind.
That same year, she was invited to teach at MANA YOGA LOFT in Barcelona, the first official Navakaraṇa Academy in Europe. In the summer of 2022, she completed Modules 3 and 4 of Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam Master Teacher Trainings with Darío Calvaruso, the creator and founder of the method, and continued to be part of the MANA team throughout the year.
In 2023, Andrea moved to Galicia, where she now combines her work as an orchestral musician with the Galician Symphony Orchestra and as a Navakaraṇa teacher at PRANA.
In 2025, she completed Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam Alumnus Teacher Training Module 2 with Alessandra Oram in Barcelona, deepening her understanding and practice of the method.
For Andrea, the practice is her way of meditating and reconnecting—her safe space. It is a moment of listening, calm, discipline, and self-compassion; the place where she most deeply discovers and understands herself. Teaching Navakaraṇa, for her, means sharing a piece of her heart and essence while experiencing the privilege of receiving the unique energy that each student brings to the practice.
