Teacher Training Programme Schedule
Preliminary
7:45 – 8:45
Participants must have taken bath, studied the theories in the manual and reviewed the series before entering the śālā. Nobody is allowed to enter the śālā without having taken bath. Śālā will be open by 8:45.
Silence
8:45 – 9:00
Students enter the śālā silently:
- on an empty stomach, clean body and composed mind
- keeping complete silence
- shall set the mat and props
- then sit for mindful breathing until commencement of the class
No food is allowed in the śālā.
Series review and practice
9:00 – 10:45
By 9:00 the śālā door is closed and thereafter nobody will be allowed to enter. Class starts with Teacher’s introduction to the series, followed by series practice.

Syllabus
Each module is of 108 hours. During each module participants learn three series (each series of three sequences). The complete syllabus consists of 36 sequences.
Participants are trained to:
- learn the sequences by memory;
- have an in-depth understanding of the anatomy, kinesiology of each movement and pose;
- provide clear and concise instructions using Sanskrit terminology;
- spot, adjust and assist students’ movements and poses.
At the completion of the fourth module participants have learnt how to practise and teach with in-depth knowledge of all the 36 sequences.
Series curriculum
Certification
Navakaraṇa is a unique methodology which embodies multidisciplinary knowledge and skills. We are also a Registered International Association. Navakaraṇan owns a Registered Trademark and patents®. We provide an independent and globalised system of Certification for our trainings. Navakaraṇa Certificate is equivalent to any other type of certificate issue by yoga alliances, federations or institutions. Only those who are holding Navakaraṇa Certification are authorised to teach Navakaraṇa. Upon the successful completition of each module you will receive the ATC-108 Certificate. At the successful completion of Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam you may request for an ATC-432 Certificate.
CSEN

Post training follow-up
At the conclusion of the training you may continue your studies with our team of Navakaraṇa Mentors who assisted in the module you graduated from. The Mentorship Programme is designed to guide you to:
- develop your self-practice
- remind and polish your teaching skills to become a Navakaraṇa teacher with confidence and clarity
- carry out classes, workshops, retreats and other events internationally
- find a position as teacher in Navakaraṇa Studios
We also provide guidance for opening Navakaraṇa schools and implementation of our syllabus in your studio.

Setting
Our trainings are held in Navakaraṇa Studios, Academies or Retreat Centres, In order to keep our training quality at the highest level possible, facilitate learning and easy interaction between the faculty and the students we have set a limited capacity. The maximum number will not exceed 35 students, yet generally is less then 35 as we have limited capacity in the sālā depending on the venue.
We care about each student and you will never end up in a mass training with hundreds of participants.
Class requirements
Class compulsory requirements:
- black/blue and red pens

- three (or more) notebooks

- manual / s (provided by the Teacher on the first day)
- personal mat
- two exercise blocks
- one exercise towel
- one face towel
- sufficient a change of clothes (2 set per day)

Storage:
You can leave only inexpensive / unimportant items in the studio (such exercise blocks, mat etc.) during the training at your own risk and responsibility. As per our Terms & Conditions the Teacher, Company, Host and/or staff appointed are not responsible for any damage or loss of your personal belongings.
You cannot leave your manual/s in the studio. Please also note that in case participants lose the manual no other copy will be given.

Frequently asked questions
It is possible but we strongly recommend you to do attend some classes before joining the TTC. Navakaraṇa is quite different from other method in terms of both practice and teaching. The curriculum is vast and you need to be seriously committed and dedicate to learn Navakaraṇa. We can connect you with a Navakaraṇa studio or teacher near your place so you can have direct experience before joining the TTC.
Yes, but you have first to complete the Essentials Workshop. This will also help you to understand Navakaraṇa methodology and faculties before you commit to Navakaraṇa teacher training.
Master Teacher Trainings are taught by our Senior Faculty team of Master Teachers while Alumnus Teacher Trainings are taught by our team of Navakaraṇa Alumni and reviewed and examined by Grand Master Dario Calvaruso over the last three days of the course.
Post training follow-up and Continuous Educations are important parts upon the conclusion of the training, you will be mentored by the faculty you are graduated by.
Yes, it is possible and we strongly recommend start teaching Navakaraṇa immediately after completing Module 1 otherwise you may forget many of the things you have learned in the training. Learning Navakaraṇa required several skills which can be developed only with practical teaching experience. You will be guided how to start teaching and how to implement teaching skills in your classes progressively.
You can teach Navakaraṇa only if you are Navakaraṇa graduated and authorised teacher. The training focuses on empower our teachers so they can teach and earn from their profession starting from module 1. We have developed community and system where your teacher, graduated students and classmates can help you in developing your career or eventually become partners of your professional activity.
The training will cover both practice and teaching skills. So the training will definitely help you in improving your practice. Anyway the main purpose of the training is to make you a Navakaraṇa Teacher and you may become teacher even without an original intention. Please, make sure that you inform the teacher about your main focus before starting the training.
It might be possible, but you should request a permission from the faculty providing detailed explanation.
You should check with your doctor and follow his advice. If your doctor considers you fit to join the training programme, you can register. In this case you have to inform us at the time of registration.
Yes, you can register to a single module. As incentive we offer a 20% discount for the two modules package and 25% discount for the four modules. If you bought a package you can decide later which location and date fit better your schedule.
Yes, you can do first Module 2 then Module 1. Yet the optimal conditions for learning Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa it to proceed in order from Essentilas Workshop to Module 1, Module 2 etc. If you start with Module 2 you may feel behind other students who have already completed Module 1. If you can deal such feeling it is perfectly fine.
Yes, but you have to write and inform the faculty with minimun of 180 days advance notice.
In order to register to Module 3 and/or Module 4 students are requested to have completed The Essentials Workshop, Module 1 and Module 2. Anyway if for some reason you cannot follow the sequential order you can send us a request explaining the reasons. We will consider case by case.
Navakaraṇa is a sophisticated practice and methodology. In order to maintain high-standard in the learning process it is important that you allow time to assimilated what you learn in the training. You also have to consider that, Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Teacher Trainings are intensive programme; and can be very exhausting joining more than two trainings a year. It is important you allow time for recovery between trainings. We advise to start with Essentials Workshop then proceed with Module 1 and gradually with Module 2, 3 and 4.

In the Navakaraṇa Sākalya Tantra TTC you learn techniques for self-transformation through holistic lifestyle and the Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Bheṣaja Krama Mālā (collection of restorative sequences and holistic therapies)
In the Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam TTC you learn a collection of multilevel sequences (to maintaining fitness and improve wellbeing).
In the Navakaraṇa Śikṣā Paddhati you learn teaching skills and choreography in full details.
There are curricula which will be probaly open in the future such as Prakṛṣṭa (advanced) and Mārgaṇa (creating one’s path).
It is up to you how far you want to deepen your knowledge.
Not necessary and anyway it is unpredictable. If you are are desirous of learning Navakaraṇa you should adjust accordingly to circumstances.
Yes, The Essentials Workshop.
Master Teacher Training Courses are international programmes and are taught in English to make them accessible to students of different countries. If you are not familiar with English language you can request a translator. Please check with us before you register to the course.
Navakaraṇa Master Teacher Training Courses are international. We have participants from all over the world attending Navakaraṇa trainings. English remains the most spoken language across the world.
If you ask this question is probably because you are confused with the newage idea of Yoga and you are relating Yoga to “body-mind training”
In the Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa TTC we do not cover the study Yoga Darśana, Trika, Upaniṣad or similar topics. We have separate courses on Philosophy if you are interested.
Generally we provide live interpreter or translator for the teacher training programmes in China, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia and Taiwan. If the training is held in other courtiers from those mentioned above mentioned please check with us sending your enquiry from here. We will get back to you.
Don’t force it. Let it happen naturally. With the successful conclusion of the training we certify that you have completed the course. This mean that you have been a good student during the course and that you have gather all the necessary informations, knowledge and tools to become a teacher. Graduation does not mean that you are a teacher. To become a teacher requites plenty of experience. Start teaching to your family members and friends. From there if you put efforts, dedication, time and consistency one day you will find yourself in a small studio, then doing workshops in the leading studios across the world and then into international conferences or media. It takes some time. Enjoy the journey of sharing with others all way through!
The objective of the teacher training is to pass to you all the necessary information to master the practice and teaching of all the series you have learned during the courses. If you are committed, you should be able to practise and teach all the Navakaraṇa Series in full form or personalised way. However, it really depends on your efforts, receptiveness and commitment.
If you complete all the four modules of the Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam you wil be able to teach 36 sequences in a variety of formats. As Navakaraṇa Studio or Accademy you can offer plenty of different types of classes. The official formats of classes of Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam includes: 12 Series Classes (traditional and led class) Essentials Classes (such as Prāṇa Essentials, Karaṇa Essentials, Flow Essential), Methodology Classes, Deconstruction Classes (for all the 36 series); Focus Classes (such as Inversion, Anterior Stretch, Core, Detox and Hip Opening), Chanting Classes, Conditioning Classes. If you have completed the Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Bheṣaja you can also incorporate in your studio syllabus: 3 Series (traditional and led class), Sound Meditation and emotional release (catharsis), Conscious breathing and relaxation techniques; Self-hypnosis and emotional release (catharsis) and Cognitive restructuring.
You will be trained in Naṭṭuvaṅgam in the Navakaraṇa Śikṣā Paddhati (Teaching Skills) Teacher Training Course. Indeed, as learning Naṭṭuvaṅgam requires time and progressive learning so you will be gradually introduced to the basics of “stick and block” during the Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam, starting from Module 3.
No! Students undergoing this programme must be fully committed and understand that 100% full attendance is required. They must also be willing to leave other personal or professional commitments during the duration of the programme. Students can graduate with certification only with 100% attendance.
Well, we do not force anyone to stay at the training so you can leave anytime, but if you want to graduate you have to complete all the 108 hours, without exception.
So if you wish to graduate make sure you book your flight schedule in a way you have time to complete the last day programme and go to the airport without rush. You may also consider that on the last day we usually have dinner together. It is a beautiful and magic moment you do not wanna miss. So better you book you flight on the next day after the training.
Students who have followed the code of conduct, study diligently and complete successfully the training receive ATC Certificate on the closing day. Only teachers holding ATC Certificate (Authorised Training Course) are allowed to teach Navakaraṇa.
As mentioned in the Terms and Conditions if the event is postpone you still hold right to join the training on the rescheduled date or future training. In case the event is cancelled by The Teacher or The Company your deposit will be refund subject to a 10% processing fee that will be deducted from your refund.
The price of the TTC includes only:

For the avoidance of doubt, the prize excludes all other costs including but not limited to food and drink, accommodation or travel, any inoculation and/or vaccination costs, hotel supplementary charges, VISA applications and any insurance, including but not limited to travel and medical insurance, unless otherwise stated.
