Johanna Schweer

After years of dance experiencing physical injury and emotional stress, Johanna discovered Navakaraṇa for the first time on a retreat with Alessandra Oram in 2023 and she was absolutely blown away by the power of the unique methodology of Navakaraṇa. She had never been that challenged in such a personalised and intelligent way… Sometimes things just fall into place and everything happens as it should: after her first encounter with Navakaraṇa at the retreat, Johanna was able to discover that Felisa Garcia Sanchez was giving her first Navakaraṇa classes in studio KĀLĪ in Granada. With each class, Johanna fell more and more in love with Navakaraṇa: finally she discovered a very healthy way of enjoying movement again and a mindset that allowed her to move independently of the negative aspects of dance: nothing to judge, to change or to compare. Each practice of Navakaraṇa was and still is a new journey, a new challenge and a step closer to herself for her.

It did not take a lot of time, when Johanna took the decision to dig deeper into the methodology: in February 2025 she completed Alumnus Teacher Training Module 1, followed by Alumnus Teacher Training Module 2 and Master Teacher Training Module 4 in June 2025.

Johanna is teaching in the Navakaraṇa Studio KĀLĪ in Granada, Spain!
