Preliminary

Participants must have taken bath, studied the theories in the manual and reviewed the series before entering the śālā. Nobody is allowed to enter the śālā without having taken bath. Śālā will be open by 8:45.

Silence

Students enter the śālā silently:

  • on an empty stomach, clean body and composed mind
  • keeping complete silence
  • shall set the mat and props
  • then sit for mindful breathing until commencement of the class

No food is allowed in the śālā.

Series review and practice

By 9:00 the śālā door is closed and thereafter nobody will be allowed to enter. Class starts with Teacher's introduction to the series, followed by series practice.

Meals

The price of room is inclusive of two meals per day. All meal are vegan (without the use of garlic and onion). If you have any food allergies or serious autoimmune disease limiting your diet (e.g. Celiac disease etc), please check with our organiser before making your booking, if it is possible to prepare food options for you.

Syllabus​

Each module is of 108 hours. During each module participants learn three series (each series of three sequences). The complete syllabus consists of 36 sequences.

Participnats are trained to:

  1. learn the sequences by memory;
  2. have an in-depth understanding of the anatomy, kinesiology of each movement and pose;
  3. provide clear and cocise instructions using Sanskrit terminology;
  4. spot, adjust and assist  students’ movement and poses.  

At the completion of the fourth module participants have learnt how to practise and teach with in-depth knowledge of all the 36 sequences.

Series curriculum

Certification

Navakaraṇa is a unique methodology which embodies multidisciplinary knowledge and skills. We are also a Registered International Association. Navakaraṇan owns a Registered Trademark and patents®. We provide an independent and globalised system of Certification for our trainings. Navakaraṇa Certificate is equivalent to any other type of certificate issue by yoga alliances, federations or institutions. Only those who are holding Navakaraṇa Certification are authorised to teach Navakaraṇa. Upon the successful completition of each module you will receive the ATC-108 Certificate. At the successful completion of Navakaraṇa Vinyāsa Hṛdayam you may request for an ATC-432 Certificate. 

Post training follow-up

At the conclusion of the training you will be guided to:

  • developing your prcatice and becoming a teacher
  • find a position as teacher in Navakaraṇa Studios  
  • carry out workshops, retreat and other events internationally

We also provide guidance for opening Navakaraṇa schools and implementation of our syllabus inyour studio.

Language
